This course has been designed to help the learner understand the duties of a Fire Warden or Fire Marshal giving details on fires in the workplace and also looks at the attitude of building users on fire prevention. There are exercises and a case study to apply your understanding.

It's aim is to introduce best practice techniques and provide processes and strategies which when applied can help the learner to reach a level of competency in delivering the duties of a fire warden or marshal on a day-to-day basis.

The content may include:
• An understanding of how fire is caused and how it can be prevented
• The day-to-day activities a fire warden or marshall is required to perform
• The action required from a fire warden if a fire alarm is activated
• The actions to be taken during and after evacuation processes
• A fire warden's or marshal's responsibilities with respect to briefings on fire safety
• Key Points of information required to be learned and understood by a Fire Warden or Marshal
